Applications: CAT5e UTP stands for : Category 5 enhanced Unshielded twisted pairs. CAT5e UTP cables used in data transmission systems that work up to 155 Mbit/s. CAT5e UTP cable is a LAN (local are network ) cable. Also used as distribution and drop cable for internal telephone wiring. CAT5e UTP cables are particularly preferred in the offices, buildings for small scale networks. CAT5e UTP comes in 24 awg ( approx. 0,51 mm ) size and 4 pair configuration standard although other size and pair options available.
Structure:Solid bare copper wire conductors. Although most common size is 24awg ( Approx. 0,51mm in diameter) various sizes could be used. Polyolefin insulation. 4 cores solid green, blue,brown and orange. 4 cores same color scheme striped or ring marked. Cores are twisted into pairs. 4 pairs twisted in layers. PVC Jacket for indoor aplications.
